Frequent visitors of our RoboCup stadium at TU/e probably are already notified by theposters; A tournament is coming! This Tuesday the team will leave for Magdeburg where for four days in a row a heavy battle will rage.
This German Open tournament will be the first opportunity for AMIGO to show her abilities in the @Home league. Her newoutfitis almost finished so the looks are tournament worthy. Team members working on the programming of the service robot made some very long days to prepare the robot for the difficult challenges. Progress has been steady so AMIGO will definitely do more than standing still and being pretty!
Also the new TURTLE (the goalkeeper) will make its debut at the tournament in Germany. Much effort has been put in creating software that accurately controls his moves and detection of lob balls has been improved as well. For nowthis videois all there is but once the goalkeeper TURTLE comes into action there will be an abundance of spectacular savings!
