After a long flight, the team has finally arrived on Australian soil. Just one more night of sleep until the moment we have all been waiting for finally arrives and the first challenge begins.
Our precious robots have finally arrived in Australia as well! Within two set-up days, the robots are completely prepared for the world championship. We don't have a second to lose with two potential world championship titles at stake!
This year, Carmen and Feline from RTL News set off every day to give you an "insider view" during the World Cup. Today, they have studied the rules of robot football. Do robots ever get a yellow card? Do they ever run offside? When will they be changed? Curious? Check out their videos on RTL News.
This year our care robot HERO is also coming along for the first time! Last year, we have been able to practice and test a lot with our HERO. The robot is made by Toyota and is the standard robot for the HSR competition, one of the competitions within the @Home league. With his cameras and sensors, he records the environment, people and various objects. He also has a laser range sensor with which he can avoid obstacles. HERO has a top speed of almost 3 kilometers per hour!
